Collective Landscapes

Experimental, 2019

A video experiment in the perception and display of my evolving pregnant body through the use of a macro lens. Inspired by social media’s emphasis on vanity, the footage is captured using an iPhone 6s and highlights areas of the body considered to be too "grimy" for these everyday outlets (ie. scars, pimples, marks, bruises, and genitalia). The microscopic scale creates forms of distorted imagery that leave subjective body parts ambiguous; this ambiguity works to expose parts that are often left unfulfilled due to censorship.

A Life's Time (Looped)

Stop-Motion Animated Short, 2018

Animator/Set Fabricator/Puppet Fabricator

Synopsis:  "Creature awakes to life with a looming dark force. Curiosity leads Creature to pursue visions based on fear of the unknown. Enticed by colors and patterns, Creature finds itself face to face with Beetle, the source of the visions. Beetle takes off its mask and reveals itself as a timekeeper, composed of the past, present, and future. As Creature stands witness, cyclical secrets of time unfold but by the time it decides to turn away the all-time as now has consumed it, and the rhythmic pattern of death and rebirth loop infinitely."

Time in Sky

Experimental Stop-Motion, 2017

Animator/Set Fabricator

An experimental stop-motion animation made in response to my personal perception of time passing. Time became most apparent through the sky’s movements, lights, and colors.
